Sport Lisboa e Benfica won the national Futsal Sub-19 Championship, defeating Sporting Clube de Portugal in the final playoff match. Despite losing the first game of the final (5-2 at Pavilhão João Rocha), Benfica came back with a sequence of three consecutive wins: 5-4 at Luz, after extra time; 4-3 at Alvalade, again after extra time; and 4-3 at home, sealing the championship title. The team, led by coach Nuno Miguel, was led by players like João Matos and Luís Quaresma, who stood out in the competition. Benfica now prepares to defend its title in the next season.
