Sport Lisboa e Benfica confirms that it has reached an agreement with Trabzonspor, Turkey, for the transfer of footballer Sidny. The left-back moved to Benfica in the second half of the 2025/26 season, in the winter transfer window. Sidny made his debut for the Glorious on January 3, 2026, against Estoril, at the Estádio da Luz, in a match related to the 17th round of the Liga Betclic. He was launched at minute 77 and scored his first goal with the Manto Sagrado. Throughout the second half of the season, he participated in 4 competitions in service of the eagles. He lined up in 8 games in the Liga Betclic, 2 in the Champions League, 1 in the Taça da Liga and 1 in the Taça de Portugal. In total, Sidny registered 12 official appearances for Benfica and scored 1 goal. The Club wishes the player the best of luck for this new phase of his career.
